President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received President of ARETI International Group, member of the Steering Committee of the International Cycling Union (UCI) Igor Makarov. The main topic of discussion was the preparation for the upcoming UCI Track Cycling World Championship to be held on October 13-17, 2021, the organization of which is entrusted to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan together with the Cycling Federation and the International Cycling Union (UCI).

The President of Turkmenistan and Foreign Minister of Turkey discuss priorities of interstate dialog

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu. Having expressed sincere gratitude for the spared time, the guest conveyed cordial greetings of President of Turkey Recep Tayip Erdogan to the head of the state and addressed best wishes to fraternal Turkmen people. At the same time, the commitment of Turkish side to traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan, which are successfully developed in all directions, has been confirmed.

Outcomes of Turkmenistan’s development for two months of the year are reviewed at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers. Outcomes of work of the branches of national economy for two months of the year have been summed up and current issues of home and foreign policy of the country have been reviewed. Coming over to the agenda, the head of the state gave floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G. Mushshikov who reported on macroeconomic indicators for January – February 2021.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participates in the ECO summit

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in work of the XIV Summit of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in online format at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayip Erdogan. Taking into account the situation in the world, the agenda of the high-level session included special emphasis on development of regional economic partnership in the period after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Outcomes of activity of security forces for two months of the year summed up at the session of the State Security Council

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular session of the State Security Council. Outcomes of activity of military and law enforcement agencies for two months of 2021, which is held under slogan “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust”, have been summed up at the session. Provision of security and peace in our independent state, strengthening of equipment and facility base of security forces, further improvement of their activity, control of the state property including financial resources, introduction of digital system and other issues were among discussed subjects.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers as well as heads of the regional and capital administrations. Issues of social and economic development of the main city of the country and regions, seasonal agricultural works, preparation to spring sowing campaign and remarkable dates have been reviewed at the session.

February 26. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers. Priority issues of the state life have been discussed and drafts of some documents have been reviewed at the session. First, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Foreign Minister R. Meredov has reported on the measures for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

The head of state meets with deputies of the Mejlis

February 25, the Rukhyet Palace. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has met with the country's parliamentary corps, at which the tasks of National parliament as well as the priority areas of legislative work at the next stage of development of the independent Turkmen state in the era of power and happiness were specified. Prior to the meeting, the head of state has held a session exchanging views with the leaders of the Mejlis, political parties and public organizations on the key tasks of further development of independent neutral Motherland in 2021, the motto of which is "Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust."

The President of Turkmenistan holds session on preparation to celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and development of the capital

February 24, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has visited the city administration of the capital where he held the session dedicated to preparation to the celebration of the 140th anniversary of Ashgabat and its further development as well as checked new project of urban development including relevant engineering, road and transport infrastructures, special features of design of future facilities and development of surrounding territory. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, who is in charge of the capital, has reported on new projects, their implementation, details of decoration of the buildings to be erected as well as their location.
