World Cycling Day celebrated in Turkmenistan

On June 3, on the occasion of World Bicycle Day, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in a mass bicycle ride. World Bicycle Day, established by the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on the initiative of the Esteemed President, has been widely celebrated in our country. As a result of the personal example of the head of state and the creation of all favorable conditions for physical education and sports, healthy and active lifestyle principles became the basic ones for the people of Turkmenistan.

State Security Council session of Turkmenistan

On June 2nd, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chaired the regular session of the State Security Council, during which the results of activities of law enforcement agencies for five months of this year were considered, the priority vectors of their activities for the near future were identified. The agenda also included issues on ensuring security and peace in the independent state, strengthening the material and technical base of military and law enforcement agencies, further improvement of their work, control of the rational use of state property, including financial resources, introduction of a digital system, and etc.

On June 2, Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a working meeting by means of digital videoconferencing with the participation of the Cabinet Deputy Chairman supervising the agricultural sector and velayat khyakims. The priority targets of socio-economic development of regions, the results of works carried out in five months of this year, as well as the current state of affairs on agricultural land plots and other issues were discussed.

President of Turkmenistan visited scientific-clinical center for Maternal and Child health

On June 1st, esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in a solemn event dedicated to the International Day for the Protection of Children at the Scientific and Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health in the center of the capital city. First of all, the Turkmen leader, together with head of the United Nations Children’s Fund's representative office in Turkmenistan Weigand, took interest in the work of the children's development and early rehabilitation department of the center. As the doctor noted, the toys available in the department are designed to strengthen the whole body system of children.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting on the issues of ensuring comfortable and safe recreation of citizens on the Caspian coast in summer. Minister of Health and Medical Industry, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission for Control over the Spread of Diseases, Head of the Recreation Management Center in the National Tourism Zone "Avaza" N. Amannepesov and Deputy Head of the Recreation Management Center, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs O. Hojaniyazov took part in the meeting. Minister of Health and Medical Industry, Chairman of the Extraordinary Commission for Control over the Spread of Diseases, Head of the Recreation Management Center in the National Tourism Zone "Avaza" N. Amannepesov reported that, based on the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan, the necessary measures were taken to organize the effective work of the Recreation Management Center. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave food donation on occasion of the fortieth day after the death of his father Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov in Hezreti Omar Mosque in Mir 7 district. The head of the state has a session with members of the People’s Council of National Assembly

The President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a session with members of the People’s Council chamber in the office of the People’s Council. At the session, the head of the state has familiarized himself with work as well as specified the utmost objectives related to organization of activity of this structure. Turkmen leader launches construction of Ashgabat city and opens new residential complex

On the Day of Ashgabat and 140th anniversary of the capital, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the events on occasion of ground-breaking ceremony of big residential complex Ashgabat City and opening of new complex of double-store houses built in the northern part of Ashgabat. Ashgabat becomes better and better every day and its magnificent architectural ensemble is added with new buildings and constructions. Urban infrastructure is gradually modernized, which provides Ashgabat’s residents with amenities and comfort according to international standards. The whole districts have been reconstructed, new developed residential estates, numerous social and other facilities have been built in the capital in the last years.
