The President of Turkmenistan Participates in the Celebrations at the Main New Year’s Tree of the Country

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the New Year’s celebration at the Main New Year’s Tree of the country, sharing the joy and fun with the young participants of the festive event in the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Centre. The stately green beauty 38 and a half metres high and 16 metres in diameter, magically sparkling with multi-coloured toys, garlands and lanterns and crowned with an eight-pointed star with brightly glowing number “2022”, has been installed in the centre of a truly fabulous spot spread out there.

A briefing was held at the MFA of Turkmenistan

Today, on December 22, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a briefing dedicated to the study of the experience of foreign countries to prevent the penetration and spread of coronavirus infection in the country was held. The briefing was attended by heads and employees of the Foreign Ministry, as well as heads of diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan accredited abroad. Speaking at the briefing, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov noted that under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, protecting human health and life, as well as ensuring safety are priority tasks of state policy, and the state is taking all necessary efforts in this direction. Of particular importance are our state’s international initiatives aimed at further developing and strengthening cooperation with specialized structures and agencies of the United Nations, primarily with the World Health Organization.

11.12.2021.Today, the International Conference «Peace and Trust Policy – Basis of International Security, Stability and Development» has taken place in the Congress Centre of the capital and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has attended its solemn plenary session. In the morning, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the venue of the international forum. Chairpersons of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh and Deputy-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, who congratulated the leader of the nation on International Day of Neutrality and the International Conference «Peace and Trust Policy – Basis of International Security, Stability and Development» which is held on the occasion of this holiday, welcomed the head of the state there.

25th Meeting of the ECO Council of Ministers was held in Ashgabat

27.11.2021. 25th Meeting of the Council of Ministers (COM) of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held in Ashgabat to participate in which the heads of the foreign policy agencies of the ECO member-countries arrived to Turkmen capital. The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting

24.11.2021. Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting devoted to issues of development of fuel and energy as well as financial and economic complexes of the country with participation of related deputy-chairmen of the Cabinet and heads of a number of profile institutions. Having announced his decision to hold the meeting, in which the results of the work of the fuel and energy complex and its economic state will be considered, the leader of the nation pointed out that as a result of the energy policy realized in Turkmenistan, the given branch, including gas sector, develops dynamically.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov launches autumn planting campaign

06.11.2021. A nationwide planting campaign was held in Turkmenistan with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. A large-scale environmental campaign on establishing new gardens and parks all over the country is aimed at improving ecological well-being, beautifying all corners of the Turkmen land with a magnificent green "outfit".  Wide, like the Turkmen people’s soul, open spaces have a truly wonderful inspiring power. The unique beauty of the steppes, the plants growing there are considered the source of prosperity and abundance of our people. Thanks to the selfless work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the tasks on preserving and protecting the flora and fauna of the steppes ranks among the priorities of the state policy.

On October 27, the XXVI International Conference «Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2021» (OGT-2021), dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the country, started its work in Ashgabat in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in a hybrid format. On October 25, 2021, a telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. At the beginning of the dialogue, the Turkmen leader cordially congratulated the head of neighboring country on his election as President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, wishing him good health for many years, prosperity and great success in his responsible work at the highest state post.
