Happy youth is the bright future

Our ancestors emphasized that there are three things to write a name in eternity. The first of them is the book he wrote, the second is the mansions he built, and the perfect generations he raised. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero Arkadag, has done great work for our nation by writing perfect books, building tall buildings and educating today's generations, and he continues to do so even during the Revival of the new Era of the Powerful State. There is no better gift than a book for a person who strives for perfection at every step. This concept is especially valuable for the Turkmen youth, who are the descendants of the people, exchanging the dromedary camel for a book. The fact that the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov himself, contributed the works of art that enrich our spiritual world and add beauty to the appearance of our external world increases the value of this concept even more than before.

Historical roots of statehood

During the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State, important work is carried out in the field of through and comprehensive study of the history of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen people, and promoting thereof in the region and globally. Passing on the rich experience of the glorious history of Turkmen statehood, which goes back to the early times, is one of the basic conditions of development. The Turkmens are the people who created many empires and states that had a special position in the world history in the past. Independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan, formed at the end of the 20th century, spreads humanitarian principles in the world based on the principles of centuries-long statehood. Our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov notes about the strength of Turkmen statehood in his book «Independence — Our Happiness» published in 2021: «Our ancestors have built dozens of countries in the world over the millennia. Under the strong and glorious Turkmen states great paths have been opened up for humanity. Traces of Dovletmammet Azadi in the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy

As we all know, our Scholar Arkadag, our Honourable President, Hero Arkadag Serdar has a great respect to our wise poet Magtymguly Pyragy. This is evidenced by the decision to celebrate the 300th anniversary of our master poet Magtymguly Pyragy in 2024, as well as the solemn conferences held at the state and the international level in connection with them. As we know, the works and novels of our Scholar Arkadag serve us as a great support in the thorough study of Magtymguly Pyragy's works. We can see this through our National Leader's books such as «Unquenchable Torch in the Crown of the Spirit» («Ynsan kalbynyň öçmejek nury»), «The Bird of Riches» («Döwlet guşy»), «If the Wealth comes to People» («Ile döwlet geler bolsa»), and «The Name walks in the World» («Älem içre at gezer»). In his book «Unquenchable Torch in the Crown of the Spirit» («Ynsan kalbynyň öçmejek nury»), our Scholar Arkadag said: «Magtymguly Pyragy's poetry, full of wisdom, introduced Turkmen and the Turkmen people to the world». This is evidenced by the participation of more than 150 scientists from different countries of the world in the international conference in connection with the celebration of the 290th anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy's holiday of his birthday in 2014.

Kurash is an Ancient Form of Wrestling

Today, the Kurash that has attracted the attention of the whole world has gained great popularity and fame, and this Kurash has deep historical roots. Wrestling   which was one of the forms of martial arts, originated in ancient times in Central Asia. As a result of historical findings discovered by historians and archaeologists, it was confirmed that the age of this type of sport is about 2.5-3 thousand years. If we mention the findings that scientifically prove the history of the battle, that is, the statues of two wrestlers found in Gonurdepe  (2nd millennium BC), the image of two  wrestlers in the wall paintings (pictures) found in Penjikent, the artworks depicting the images of two wrestlers   in ceramic pots found in Ancient Bactria, this is all that has been said confirms Turkmen wrestling was a wrestling held in almost all the villages on the banks of the Amudayara River in Lebap Velayat, during weddings and large ceremonial events. In the 14th century, the world-famous commander Teymurleng (Tamerlan) forced them to engage in wrestling in order to physically strengthen his army. Since the 20th century, great attention has been paid to Kurash in Uzbekistan.

Art festival

Today, the 4th international festival «Theatrical Art of the Age of Happiness» began its work in the main drama theater named after Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi in the beautiful capital, with the performance of theater groups representing different countries. Turkmenistan is represented at the festival by the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Main Drama Theatre, Alp Arslan National Drama Theatre, Turkmen State Puppet Theatre,  Magtymguly National Music-Drama Theatre, Mollanepes Student Theatre and Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theatre of Arkadag City.

Harvest Festival in our Holy Land

Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, by the khyakims of the provinces and cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag were the main venues of the Harvest Festival in all regions of the country, as well as in the International Ahalteke Equestrian Sports Complex. Leading tenants, mechanists, scientists-agronomists, selectors and other experts who made a worthy contribution to the development of the agricultural industry of the country took an active part in the celebration.

Turkmenistan and Unesco: new level in youth diplomacy

This year we celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the formation of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. On the 16th of November of 1991, Congress was held with participation of active youth of our country. Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan was launched on that date. UNESCO Global Youth Community is a global youth-led community run by youth and aimed at supporting initiatives of youth. It focuses at fostering interaction and cooperation among all UNESCO youth-led initiatives and networks. The community encourages and facilitates meaningful engagement of young people in their communities and with UNESCO. It concentrates on learning together, designing together, and creating projects together related to UNESCO’s field of competence. This initiative emerged during the 11th UNESCO Youth Forum.

Concrete aims —successful stages

At present Turkmenistan is currently taking significant initiatives that have positive results in developing solutions to the most pressing issues of the time. It conducts bilateral and multilateral good co-operation relations in order to ensure the harmonious development of the countries of the world. Not long ago the participation in the summit of the member countries of the Gulf Arab Co-operation Council and Central Asian States in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of our Esteemed President where he put forward important initiatives fully confirms it. This high-level meeting was attended by the Presidents of the member states of the Council and the Central Asian states — the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Secretary General of the Co-operation Council of the Gulf Arab States. Precious statement of the city of the future

On June 29, 2023, the opening ceremony of the first stage of the famous throughout the world, «smart» and «green» Arkadag city, also known as «smart-city», was written in golden letters in the history of our beloved Motherland. At the joint meeting of the Government and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov presented the book «Arkadag City — a City of the Future» about this wonderful city, which has no equal in the region and was built on the basis of the rules of the «smart» city concept for the first time in the experience of Turkmenistan. He also told us the good news about the publication of the new book of our Hero Arkadag called «The Continuation of the Meaning of My Life». In this deeply thought-provoking book, our National Leader states: «...a person who is a precious treasure of the society can become better and be improved through a book. Ibn Sina — the great Scientist of the East

In the Middle Ages (more precisely, in the VIII-X centuries), very favourable conditions for the development of science were created in Central Asia, because at that time, schools, madrasahs and libraries were established in important cultural-scientific centres such as Nissa, Merv, Amul, Urgench (Khorezm), Bukhara, Samarkand. Our Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wrote in his book «Turkmenistan — the Heart of the Great Silk Road»: «In the middle of the 8th century Central Asia became part of the Arab Caliphate. Arab culture flourished during that time. A large number of books have been translated and are gradually being made available to the general public. Our Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov says:— Magtymguly Pyragy got an eternal place in the hearts of people with his poems filled with deep wisdom. Since ancient times, Turkmen people have been paying a great attention to the upbringing of young generation, to developing their national culture. It can be clearly seen in the historical manuscript sources as well as in the works of classic poets. One of the wise poets who bequeathed to us such educational valuable works is a great master of poetry Magtymguly Pyragy.

Maternal Love — Eternal Light

Maternal love is like eternal light which enlightens her children’s lives in her absence as well. So if love of mothers has such power it results in that it is something, which is rather complicated to define it. Actually, when the talk is about love, I remember an English proverb: «Love is blind». Here meaning of «love» is not only maternal, but in abstract manner. As someone falls in love with someone, he or she sees her/him as an ideal one. Because love has such kind of power. It «covers» your eyes and you are unable to see her/his shortcomings rather than only good manners. As they say, love is something, which is almost impossible to explain what actually it is. When it comes to love of mothers, it gets more difficult to explain the meaning of it since love among people can burn out one day but maternal love never.
