According to the historical sources, the Turkmen people have always treated the elders, governing bodies and authorities with honour and respect. They passed down the national traditions and wisdom from generation to generation. Our wise ancestors created a number of proverbs, namely, ‘the will of the people is the will of God’, ‘a robe cut on the people’s advice is never short’, ‘those who ask for advice will be safe’. These sayings demonstrate that the Turkmen people consult the elders in every matter.
The upcoming meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will be held at the Maslahat Palace in Ashgabat on September 24, 2024, and will become a worthy continuation of these principles and will indicate that our compatriots build a great future and an exemplary state doctrine.
