Ahalteke horses pride of the epoch

The national values of the Turkmen people, which they have perfected over the centuries and bequeathed to future generations, and their contribution to world culture and art are massive and impressive. The Ahalteke horses are one of these national values to provoke the national pride of the Turkmen people. The Ahalteke horses have special respect and honour in the epoch of might and happiness. The Turkmen folklore reflects the concepts of justice, bravery, patriotism, courage, and boundless love for the Ahalteke horses. Our people could not realize their life without horses. The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays special attention to the Ahalteke horses, praising them in the books ‘the Flight of Celestial Race Horses’ and ‘Ahalteke Horses – Our Pride and Glory’. These works gained the affection of both the Turkmen readers, and the international community. Thus, the equestrian sports play a significant role in the life of the Turkmen people. Our ancestors considered their horses to be their friends and companions. New born foals were treated like children, the decoration of their lives and the apple of their eyes. Exemplary lot in sports

The President of Turkmenistan noted in the interview with First Deputy Director General of TASS (Russian News Agency) Mikhail Gusman that sports and a healthy lifestyle are an integral part of the life. The Turkmen leader underlined that the feeling originated naturally, as a necessity for the body, in his childhood. The President of Turkmenistan noted that he was actively engaged in shooting, freestyle and classical wrestling, cycling and motorsport and told about his achievements. The President of Turkmenistan has repeatedly won honorary badges and other awards, the first place in his weight class at the Junior Championships of the Republic in classical wrestling, as well as at the competitions in air rifle shooting, held among juniors by the DOSAAF (Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy) organization. The Turkmen leader noted that he won the title of champion of Turkmenistan in skeet shooting at the military training competitions, and that in regard to equestrian sports it is difficult to imagine a Turkmen without a horse. The President of Turkmenistan said that his working day starts early in the morning and ends late at night, and that it is necessary to have a good physical shape in his work.

Reflection of the glorious years

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of independence, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced that he had finished writing his new book, entitled ‘Independence – Our Happiness’, and presented it to the general public and to the Turkmen people. This wonderful book became a unique literary work and a wonderful gift dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence. In the book, the Turkmen leader revealed the roots and historical significance of independence in a comprehensive and illustrative manner. The President of Turkmenistan described in detail and with great wisdom the role of our independent, permanently neutral country in the international legal situation, in solving the important tasks of the times, and in keeping the peace and well-being of the increasingly globalized world in the book.

Festive horse races

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of our Motherland, which were held at the International Ahalteke Equestrian Sports Complex on September 28. The festive horse races at different distances became the decoration of the celebrations. The Ahalteke horses demonstrated their speed in seven races at different distances. 12 horses competed in each race.

The Law focuses on educating people to follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle, on avoiding bad habits, and on building an active life in the Turkmen society, starting from childhood.

Our beloved Motherland widely celebrates the 30th anniversary of independence in the year, which is being held under the motto ‘Turkmenistan – the Home of Peace and Trust’. In short period, Turkmenistan has gained worldwide recognition for the rapid development. During the years of independence, great progress has been made in all spheres. Thus, the slogan by the Turkmen leader ‘the State is for People!’ has an important role in the policy aimed at developing social-oriented spheres, including in sports. Turkmen Horse Day is widely celebrated on the last Sunday in April every year. Educating an inspiring, highly moral and skilful young generation is one of the strategic tasks of the state development clearly defined by the President of Turkmenistan in the epoch of might and happiness. The main goals of the state programmes are to ensure the legal and social protection of young people, to promote the spiritual, moral and cultural values inherent in the Turkmen people and the principles of a healthy lifestyle, to cultivate patriotic, humanitarian feelings and civic responsibility, and to support their initiatives. For successful implementation of these goals, the State Programme on the State Youth Policy for 2021–2025 was adopted in Turkmenistan in January this year. Horse is pride of our people

Last weekend, the Turkmen leader took a bicycle ride in the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. During the bicycle ride, the President of Turkmenistan admired the natural uniqueness of the place, the beauty of the foothills and the magnificent white-marble buildings in Ashgabat, which is on the path to harmonious development. Later on, the Turkmen leader arrived to the Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, and according to the developed good tradition, visited the heavenly horses and rode on a horse named Akyol.
