Young people are the future of the country

Impressive work is underway to comprehensively support the younger generations, develop their skills and strengthen the international cooperation. The Strategy for International Cooperation of the Youth of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030 proves the abovementioned fact. To date, the youth conferences, large-scale forums, creative festivals and Olympiads in the fields of science, education, sports, as well as other important areas of international cooperation, are organized in the country within the framework of this important document on a regular basis. These international events demonstrate that the youth cooperation is an important condition for ensuring the stable social, economic, scientific and technical development of the world community, including the strengthening of friendly relations between countries.

The principles of democracy

According to the Decree of the Presidium of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan will be held on September 24, 2024, on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of independence of the country. At the meeting, its participants will discuss several issues dedicated to the work on the development of our country. The happy young people, who are considered the main value in Turkmenistan, follow the noble examples of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, work hard in all sectors of the economy, and contribute to the successful development of our Motherland in the new epoch. As is known, the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan includes representatives of different ages and embodies the unique principles of the national democracy. The special importance of the Halk Maslahaty is reflected in the alignment of social principles of the Turkmen people that are significant in the historic development with the modern trends, and their orientation towards the implementation of sustainable development goals, priority tasks and issues.

The monument to Magtymguly in the Kopetdag Mountains

The 300th anniversary of the birthday of Magtymguly Pyragy and the year of the ‘Ocean of Wisdom of Magtymguly Pyragy’ entered the history of Turkmenistan in the letters of gold. The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov make great efforts to promote the literary heritage and glory of the poet in the world. To date, impressive work is underway to enhance the prestige of the country. The President of Turkmenistan took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the great Turkmen poet and the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural Park Complex, which was created at the initiative of our Hero-Arkadag. On the path to perfection

The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted in the Address to the Turkmen athletes, ‘Following the heroic and victorious path of our ancestors, you should demonstrate your skills at the international events and win medals. I firmly believe that you will protect the honour and dignity of Turkmenistan, achieve excellent results in various competitions, and lift the national flag of our beloved Motherland highly’. The Turkmen athletes consider it the sacred duty to earn the trust of the President of Turkmenistan. Orazgul Babanyyazova, a student at the secondary school 28 in Gumdag, Balkan Velayat, is one of these young athletes. Born in Gumdag in 2008, Orazgul has been enthusiastically attending the sports school 7 of the Balkan Velayat Main Department on Physical Culture and Sports since the age of 10. It should be noted that the coach of the sports school Orazgylych Chakanov, who has already prepared a number of talented athletes, does his best to train the weightlifters. Thus, the success of athletes depends primarily on the commitment and hard work of coach.

The sea of friendship

The national environmental policy of Turkmenistan is aimed at ensuring a clean ecology for the people to live in, preserving the natural resources for the future generations, and achieving reliable cooperation in this field at the regional and international levels. The Caspian Sea Day is annually celebrated in our beloved Motherland on August 12. Within this important date, scientific and practical conferences, sports and cultural events, as well as children's contests on drawing and preparing practical works dedicated to the beautiful nature of the Caspian Sea are organized in the country. As is known, the Caspian Sea region is rapidly developing as one of the world's largest centres for the production and shipment of hydrocarbon resources, becoming a hub for the global transport corridors. Preservation of this gift of nature for the peoples living in the Caspian Sea region and for the wellbeing of the whole humanity and exploitation of the rich hydrocarbon reserves and mineral resources at the seabed form the core of the state programmes and projects within the environmental policy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

To date, the Turkmen people take pride in independence of the country, because sovereignty of this ancient land makes them happy and promises the bright future. Independence preserves the national identity, freedom of this sacred soil, rich history, cultural heritage, natural and spiritual values, language, religion, and a happy life. Independence provided the right to cultivate the own land. These days, the hearts of our compatriots are full of happiness and gratitude to our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. There is an unwritten truth in the world about the level of happiness of citizens. In this context, the Turkmen people are truly happy, because the state programmes and large-scale initiatives, launched by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, are based on the national principles, spiritual roots, economic and natural potential of our country, and most importantly, the interests of our compatriots. This fact is reflected in the stable development of the national economy and the annual increase of investments in the social system.

Literary heritage of the great poet

To date, a number of festive events are held on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Magtymguly Pyragy. The literary heritage of the great poet is promoted in the world as the national cultural value and spiritual treasure of the Turkmen people. This year, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the great Turkmen poet and the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural Park Complex in the southern part of Ashgabat. This great event had historic significance. The literary works by Magtymguly Pyragy cover various aspects of life. The national spirit and delicate feelings of the Turkmen people live in the lines by the thinker. Every reader takes the instructions in the poems by Magtymguly Pyragy as a classical principle. The deep and meaningful works by the poet are inextricably linked to the historical background, life and past of the Turkmen people. The literary heritage of the thinker, whose precious poems are deeply rooted in the souls of our compatriots, proves the great power of literature in educating the younger generations in our times.

A set of different medals

The sports schools play an important role in preparing excellent athletes and masters for the national teams of the country. The sports school 6 implements the active work on selecting, revealing and training talented and promising young athletes. Our students succeed at the international and national events thanks to the instructions of their coaches and teachers who are masters in their fields. The athletes of the sports school coached by the international master of sports Orazmyrat Charyev successfully performed and took the prize-winning places at the Taekwondo Championship of Turkmenistan (ITF). Ysmayyl Taylyev (2 times), Orazmuhammet Hudayberdiyev (40 kg) and Omar Berdimyradov (35 kg) won the single tul events.

Honour to the Turkmen Olympians

On July 22, the special ceremony was held for the national team of Turkmenistan participating in the XXXIII Summer Olympics in Paris, the capital of France. The event was organized at the Martial Arts Sports Complex of the Olympic Village in Ashgabat. Many representatives of the sports community, including the members of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, the National Olympic and Paralympic Committees, the sports federations, public organizations, and students of institutions of higher education greeted the Olympic delegation of Turkmenistan with heavy applause. The delegation consists of 19 people, including six athletes in four sports, namely, judo, weightlifting, swimming, and athletics.

Paris 2024 Olympics: on the eve of a large tournament

As is known, the special ceremony was held for the national team of Turkmenistan participating in the XXXIII Summer Olympics in Paris, the capital of France. Maysa Pardayeva, a student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports and the winner of the Asian Cup and the European Open Championship, will compete in the judo event at the 2024 Olympics. Musa Zhalayev, a student of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and the winner of international tournaments, will contend in the swimming event. Serdar Rahimov, a student of Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute and the gold medallist of Dushanbe Grand Slam 2024, will protect the sports prestige of Turkmenistan in the judo event at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Davranbek Hasanbayev, a graduate of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports, will compete in the weightlifting event. Aynura Primova, an athlete of the Water Sports Federation of Turkmenistan, will demonstrate her skills in the swimming event. Valentina Meredova, an athlete of the Construction and Architecture Sports Club Economic Department of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, will compete in the athletics event.

The Turkmen athletes arrive in Paris

On July 23, a special ceremony was held at Paris Charles-de-Gaulle International Airport to welcome the sports delegation of Turkmenistan participating in the XXXIII Summer Olympics. The representatives of the State Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan, the National Olympic Committee, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of France, the organizing committee of the Paris 2024 Olympics, volunteers and other people gathered at the venue. The Turkmen athletes passed by a long line of volunteers holding the national flag of Turkmenistan and received a cordial welcome on the eve of the large sports festival.

Protecting the human health

Remarkable achievements in the development of our country are inextricably linked with the great concern of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Our Motherland is moving forward under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who successfully implements the initiatives of our Hero-Arkadag. Significant progress was made in all sectors of the national economy, including the health system. The main goals of the system include prevention, detection and treatment of diseases, promotion of the principles of a healthy lifestyle, provision of the necessary medicines and other resources for the population, high life expectancy and preparation of skilful professionals for the health institutions. Special importance is attached to expanding international cooperation in the field of health in the Saglyk State Programme. To date, the medical workers of Turkmenistan reliably protect the health of the people, which represents the greatest value in the country. Thus, improving the health and wellbeing of the population, increasing the life expectancy, providing wide opportunities and conditions for protecting the national health, creating a perfect and highly efficient health system, and preventing diseases are the main tasks of the health system.

Respect for the great thinker

The poems by Magtymguly Pyragy possess deep meaning, highlight humanitarian principles and represent a spiritual force that calls the humanity to peace, friendship and mutual respect. The literary works by the great poet and thinker and a collection of his manuscripts preserved in different countries of the world are considered historical and cultural values, because they enunciate good principles. Cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization is of great importance in preserving the literary legacy of Magtymguly Pyragy. The poems and manuscripts by Magtymguly Pyragy entered the UNESCO's Memory of the World Register, and the 300th anniversary of the birthday of the poet was included in the list of memorable dates in the celebration of UNESCO for 2024–2025. This fact indicates that great work is underway to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of the master.
