Turkmenistan after 27 years

«Türkmenistan Sport», № 4 (16), 2022 A historic event in the history of Turkmen sports took place at the 47th World Sambo Championships in Bishkek. After 27 years, a representative of Turkmenistan won the world champion title among men in this sport. This remarkable achievement was gained in the under 64 kg category by a serviceman from Malikguly Berdimuhamedov military unit 1001 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Master of Sports from Ashgabat Muhammet Kossekov.

Children of Asia – the Beginning of Victories

«Türkmenistan Sport», № 3 (15), 2022 Young Turkmen athletes showed excellent results at the 7th Children of Asia International Games, which were held in Vladivostok. The Turkmenistan national team won 16 medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 11 bronze ones) at the magnificent sports festival. Our compatriots won 2 medals in the athletics tournament (a gold medal in the 3,000-metre run and a bronze medal in the 1,500-metre run) and a silver medal in the table tennis tournament. Wrestlers brought 13 more medals to the treasury of the Turkmenistan team. The Turkmen team took the tenth place in the team event. This is a great international success for the young athletes of our country in the year «The Era of the People with Arkadag».

«Türkmenistan Sport», № 3 (15), 2022 The National Anti-Doping Agency of Turkmenistan takes effective steps to prevent and combat doping in the sport of our country in accordance with the Law of Turkmenistan On Doping in Sports, the Code of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the International Standard for Education (ISE). The National Anti-Doping Agency of Turkmenistan conducts educational seminars for athletes, coaches and sports experts to explain the dangers of doping for health, the rights and obligations of athletes, the list of substances and methods prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the anti-doping rules and the doping control procedure.
