Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Astana, met with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Having warmly greeted each other, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views in a personal conversation on topical issues of multifaceted interstate cooperation built on the principles of trust, equality and mutual consideration of national interests.

Meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system to consider a number of issues of state life. The first floor was given the Chairperson of the Mejlis D. Gulmanova, who informed about the development of bills aimed at legal regulation of various spheres of state life. In particular, it was noted that working groups are making changes and additions to the Code of Administrative Offenses, the Tax Code, the Laws “On Automobile Transport”, “On the Ombudsman”, and “On Civil Service”.

Meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan

Today, the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council to consider the results of the work of the military and law enforcement agencies for January-August of the current year. The agenda also included issues of ensuring security and peace in independent Turkmenistan, strengthening the material and technical base of law enforcement agencies, and further improving their activities. The first to speak was Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, who reported on the work carried out in the National Army since the beginning of the year, the fulfillment of the instructions given by the head of state to strengthen the country’s defense capability. A report was also made on the measures being implemented to develop the activities of subordinate structures in accordance with the realities of the time, creating appropriate conditions for the service and life of military personnel.

The President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via the digital system

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and khyakims of the velayats. Thanking the National Leader of Turkmen people for the meeting, the Turkish entrepreneur noted the importance of trust of the Turkmen side shown to “Rönesans Holding”, which was assigned the construction of the complex of new premises of the Specialized Military School named after Berdimuhamet Annayev.

Turkmen-Iranian relations have attained a qualitatively new level

On 28 August 2024, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Upon arrival to Tehran, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty was welcomed by high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Mehrabad International Airport. There, the National Leader of Turkmen people had a brief meeting with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd. The sides emphasized the strategic nature of partnership between Turkmenistan and Iran based on trust and mutual respect.
