On 28 August 2024, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was on a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Upon arrival to Tehran, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty was welcomed by high-ranking officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Mehrabad International Airport. There, the National Leader of Turkmen people had a brief meeting with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Ms. Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd. The sides emphasized the strategic nature of partnership between Turkmenistan and Iran based on trust and mutual respect.

The President of Turkmenistan Took a Bike Ride in the Avaza National Tourist Zone

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on labor leave, went for a bike ride in the Avaza National Tourist Zone on the Caspian coast. Currently, Turkmenistan attaches special importance to the promotion of healthy lifestyle principles in society. In this regard, targeted measures are being implemented to protect people’s health, harmoniously develop the younger generation, and provide conditions for comfortable and healthy recreation for citizens, especially during their labor leave. On August 9, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov had a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan to participate in the Sixth Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia. The Presidents of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan also arrived in Astana to participate in the Summit. At the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan arrived in the capital of Kazakhstan as a guest of honor to participate in the high-level events.

On August 9, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as part of a working visit to the Kazakh capital, met with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The meeting was held with the participation of members of the delegations of the two countries. Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, the agenda of which included a number of issues of state life. On July 24, 2024, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Turkmenistan Bernd Heinze. Expressing gratitude for the time allocated for the meeting, the diplomat presented his credentials to the head of state and conveyed warm words of greeting from the President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who addressed wishes of happiness and prosperity to the President Turkmenistan, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and all Turkmen people.

The President of Turkmenistan Held a Working Meeting via the Digital System

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting via the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T.Atahalliyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and the khyakims of the velayats, to consider the progress of seasonal field work in the country. Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to sum up the results of the work of economic sectors for six months of the current year, and consider the progress in implementing the adopted programs for the socio-economic development of the country. The agenda includes identifying long-term tasks for the second half of the year and personnel issues. Reports from the Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, a number of heads of government agencies, and velayat khyakims were also heard. Representatives of the Mejlis, members of the State Security Council, heads of regional administrations, Ashgabat and Arkadag cities, rectors of higher educational institutions, editors of newspapers and magazines, and other leaders were invited to the meeting.
