The Central Asian team tennis championships taking place on the courts of the Olympic Complex, in which boys and girls under 12 years old from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are taking part, are coming to an end in Ashgabat.
For the second time, Turkmenistan hosts the regional tournament held under the auspices of the International (ITF) and Asian (ATF) Tennis Federations. Four years ago, at the same championships of Central Asia in Ashgabat, our teams of boys and girls took the third place. And the day before, Turkmen tennis players took a serious step towards winning silver medals, defeating the team of Uzbekistan for the first time in history.
