Miraculous Ointment on the Basis of Wormwood

Scientific laboratories of technological pharmaceutical production of the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan have received the limited patent of the State Service for Intellectual Property of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan. The researchers have developed a one-percent ointment based on the essential oil of the Turkmen wormwood (Artemisia turcomanica) – an endemic medicinal plant, the healing properties of which are described in detail in the multi-volume work Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Doctor of Medicine Hero-Arkadag. The authorship of the development belongs to a Doctor of Chemistry Durdymyrat Gadamov, a Candidate of Biology Allamyrat Akmyradov and a graduate student Berdi Berdiyev. The ointment obtained from the group of various compounds has unique properties, including high-quality absorption, duration of effect and stability. The originality of the development lies in the technology of extracting essential oil from raw materials (Turkmen wormwood), which is carried out in several stages. The proposed method also includes steam distillation, i.e. upon receipt of the substance under consideration, the process of separation of the components of the mixture using an overheated steam occurs. Thus, the healing base of the ointment is essential o

Golden Eagle — a Rare Eagle Species

The nobility of this feathered predator shines through in its appearance and manifests itself through its behaviour and habits. It is not accidental that the coats of arms of many countries feature the golden eagle that belongs to the large eagles. This rare and beautiful bird is of particular interest because it nests closer to the winter, lays eggs in February-March, and sometimes even in January – the coldest months in Turkmenistan. But the birds continue feeding the chicks after 45 days of incubation for a little more than two months during a comfortable period – in the spring, when there is a lot of food. The parents take care of the offspring until they fly out of the nest, bring the ground squirrels they have caught, sometimes hares, foxes, mountain partridges – chukars and various waterfowl. Their diet also includes turtles: these smart birds have learned to break their hard shells on the stones of deep echoing gorges or rocky mountain plateaus. They also catch monitor lizards on occasion. We should explain that this is a quite large bird. Its wingspan can be 2 metres, its claws are unmatched among eagles in size, and it can be recognised by a large “cap” on its head with elongated golden-yellow feathers. There are known cases of golden eagles hunting young gazelles, lambs of mountain sheep and goats. But never on adult ungulates: the golden eagle, whose weight i

The Basis of Peace and Development

Our country is celebrating the forthcoming International Day of Neutrality in an atmosphere of peace and unity of the people in the implementation of the Presidential programmes. Focus on Effectiveness and Quality

In the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, great importance is attached to expanding mutually beneficial international cooperation and harnessing the potential of the country in the transport sector. The result is the growth rate in this sector of Turkmenistan’s economy. In general, the GDP growth rate in the transport sector stood at 6.7 per cent, which testifies to the important role of this sector in Turkmenistan’s economy. The freight forwarding companies – members of the Turkmen Logistics Association, make a worthy contribution to provide transport services. The Paýhas Ganaty Individual Enterprise, founded in 2023, specialises in transporting consolidated cargo by fully loaded vehicles and oversized cargo. For example, in August-October this year, Paýhas Ganaty performed the project rail transportation of 440 tonnes of tubing pipes from China to Hazar (Turkmenistan). The partners of Paýhas Ganaty are both local and foreign companies.

Intangible and tangible values and history written by great ancestors through creating artworks of incredibly beauty – Turkmenistan preserves all this. Domestic decorative and applied arts and craftsmanship are becoming increasingly popular both in the country and abroad. The country’s leadership provides comprehensive support to this area and creates new opportunities for reviving and widely popularising national crafts and traditional manufacture, which contributes to expanding the ranks of craftsmen. In Search of an Ancient Civilisation

On assignment from the editorial board, I was to interview Fredrik Hiebert, a Doctor of Archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania (USA), well-known in scientific circles and a continuer of the research into the ancient agricultural Anau culture. According to the rules of journalism and following my experience, I furrowed the vastness of the Internet in advance to learn more about my interlocutor. And here is what I managed to find: the archaeologist had worked with Viktor Sarianidi and Turkmen archaeologists. During excavations in Anau, he found a miniature stone seal measuring 1.5 x 1.5 cm containing carved symbols that were unlike any writing system known to science, and in the upper layers of the Southern Hill of Anau he discovered a stone wall dating back to the Bronze Age (second millennium BC), although it was believed that all structures in the settlements of the first farmers who had lived thousands of years ago in the fertile valley between the Kopetdag Mountains and the Karakum Desert were built exclusively from clay (mud bricks and pakhsa). Together with Turkmen archaeologist K. Kurbansahatov, he wrote the book A Central Asian Village at the Dawn of Civilization: Excavations at Anau, Turkmenistan, published in Philadelphia (USA) in 2003. And most importantly, according to F. Hiebert, he is looking for an ancient civilisation, not yet known to the world, and

Key Vector of the State Policy

In the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, much attention is paid to ensuring the rights and wellbeing of children, which is among the priority areas of the state policy aimed at protecting and consistently enhancing the rights of children and further improving the social and living conditions of the younger generation. Caring for the younger generation – children, on whom the Turkmen people have pinned their hopes for a bright future since ancient times, has been and remains one of the most important state tasks, implemented in accordance with international standards and high humane principles. A state that ensures a happy life for the current generation and shows concern for the future is great and powerful and has an enormous potential. Not limiting ourselves to the achievements of today and based on the importance of ensuring a bright future for following generations, their happy and prosperous life, our country carries out all possible work in this direction. At the same time, it is natural that the main task – creating all opportunities for the harmonious development of children and their prosperous and happy life – comes to the fore. It is on this basis that the activities, carried out in this direction by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, provide for the formation of the highest-qua
