Gold, silver and bronze medals won by young turkmen scholars

The 54th International Chemistry Olympiad - IChO-2022 (International Chemistry Olympiad) has completed its work. This year, it remotely brought together more than 320 young adorers of this discipline from over 80 countries of the world. As is known, this subject competition has been held since 1968. It was then that the first International Chemistry Olympiad was held in Prague (Czechoslovakia), the main task of which was to increase the interest of schoolchildren in chemical science around the world. At this annual intellectual competition, each country is traditionally represented by a team consisting of four Olympians and their mentors. Officially, this Olympiad is an individual championship. This year, China, the city of Tianjin, took over the baton of the subject competition of young chemists.

The advantages of reading

Books are a real treasure and a key to knowledge. Without books, our history would not exist. The "Paýhas çeşmesi" book, published thanks to the concern of our Hero-Arkadag, reads: ‘those who do not read books will see, those who read books will explore the world’, ‘those who read books are rich in spirit’, ‘books educate like parents’, etc. These sayings have great meaning. Reading educates a person, prepares for the challenges of life, makes advises, guides in the right path and awakens humaneness in people. In the childhood, people take a book in their hands and start to open its magic pages and discover its secrets. Each book has a special meaning and teaches people new things. If a person has a question or faces life's challenges, he or she can look for a solution in the book.

New Areas of Professional Training

On July 11, another admission campaign to secondary and higher vocational educational institutions of our country started. According to the established tradition, applicants for many of them are waiting for new areas of study, in which the training of specialists will begin for the first time starting from the forthcoming 2022-2023 academic year. As for higher educational establishments, here new areas of training are open, both on a paid and budgetary basis, at various levels of education, which are bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s programmes.

Turkmenistan Brings Together Experts from Different Countries of the World

Five higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan took the initiative to organise international student Internet Olympiads in various areas. International University for the Humanities and Development offered an online platform for the International Mathematics Olympiad for University Students. The intellectual competition comprised the individual and team tournaments. The individual tournament had two categories: students who specialise in mathematics and computer technology competed in the first category and representatives of different academic disciplines in the second one.

Winners of honorary titles

In Ashgabat, on the basis of secondary specialised school 132 with the intensive study of foreign languages, a solemn ceremony was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan on the occasion of summing up the results of the annual professional competitions “Educator of the Year” and “Teacher of the Year”. The traditional competitive relay race, in which the best representatives of the educators of the younger generation from all over the country took part, is over. One round after another, contenders for the cherished professional titles passed competitive tests necessary to determine the comprehensive potential of pedagogical competencies and virtuoso skills in modern methods and technologies of upbringing and education used in preschool and secondary educational institutions in the new historical era.

Intellectual Competitions under the Guidance of Higher Schools

An important initiative is gaining momentum in our country, uniting secondary and vocational educational institutions on the one hand, and higher educational institutions on the other. Role of foreign languages in independent Turkmenistan

The significance of knowledge of foreign languages in expanding spiritual world of man and forming public consciousness is increasing ever more. Knowledge of other languages opens up wide opportunities for studying the peculiarities of cultures, traditions and the history of different peoples. In this regard, the study of foreign languages has become essential for the education system of Turkmenistan. Our ancestors also emphasized the social importance of studying languages for the development of international relations, which is reflected in sayings and proverbs: «A man who speaks many languages has deep knowledge» (Köp dil bilen – köp biler), «A man who knows languages travels the whole world» (Dil bilen dünýäni gezer), etc. All languages serve as a means of communication of people, but not all of them perform this function at the international level. Despite this, every language is part of the linguistic wealth of mankind.

Place of Unesco in educational system

In the Epoch of Might and Happiness, our state is prospering under the wise leadership of the esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The united people live freely in peace and welfare in our country. In the present period, to transform radically the educational system, to improve the management in educational sphere, to ensure high level of the education and upbringing of the youth, to modernize the infrastructure of education are the main objectives following from the Law «On Education» adopted in our country. The Article 55 of the Constitution that is our Basic Law runs: «Every person has a right for education. The secondary education is compulsory, every person has a right to get it in the state educational institutions free of charge. The state provides access for professional education for every person according to his or her abilities. The implementation of the paid educational activities is allowed on the basis and in the order, which are established by the law. The compulsory state educational standards are established for all educational institutions». The more favourable conditions are provided in the society by the state to satisfy needs and wish of the young people to get education, the sooner person is developed. That is why, all required conditions as well as legal guarantees are provided in our state for the people to realize their rights for education

School bazaars work

August is the traditional time of the year for school preparations. For this month, parents usually postpone the purchase of school uniforms for their children, so that it fits the children, usually noticeably grown up in the first summer months. On the shelves of school bazaars opened everywhere, a wide selection of clothing for boys and girls of different age is presented. In addition to the everyday school uniform, these are outfit for labour education lessons and training suits. Local sewing factories, as always, are prepared in advance for the seasonal sale and the great demand for school uniforms sold out especially actively on the eve of the school year.

Turkmen Students Successfully Perform in International Subject Olympiads

At the end of the academic year, the educational institutions all over our country conduct solemn ceremonies to announce and honour the winners in various national and international contests and competitions. History, Present Day and Prospects of the Development of the Art of Architecture

An international forum that brought together specialists in the field of architecture from the CIS member states was held in the hall of the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat. Among them were representatives of specialised higher educational establishments – rectors, teachers and students of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction. As our newspaper has recently reported, a few days before the forum, which was organised in a remote format, a large-scale exhibition of projects and models, embodying the original ideas of course and graduate works of students and graduates of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction was launched at the art higher educational establishment.
