The significance of knowledge of foreign languages in expanding spiritual world of man and forming public consciousness is increasing ever more. Knowledge of other languages opens up wide opportunities for studying the peculiarities of cultures, traditions and the history of different peoples. In this regard, the study of foreign languages has become essential for the education system of Turkmenistan. Our ancestors also emphasized the social importance of studying languages for the development of international relations, which is reflected in sayings and proverbs: «A man who speaks many languages has deep knowledge» (Köp dil bilen – köp biler), «A man who knows languages travels the whole world» (Dil bilen dünýäni gezer), etc.

All languages serve as a means of communication of people, but not all of them perform this function at the international level. Despite this, every language is part of the linguistic wealth of mankind.
