Friendship Has no Boundaries

The Turkmen State Institute of Culture actively promotes international cooperation in various areas. For example, the creative teams and lecturers from the Institute have taken part recently in the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan and other events marking the anniversary of the great philosopher and poet Magtymguly Pyragy in Japan, France, the People’s Republic of China, Türkiye, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The events, aimed at promoting tourism, is no less significant. For example, the Turkmen delegation, consisting of a lecturer at the Faculty of Cultural Heritage of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture Hurma Durdiyeva, took part in the festive events marking the declaration the Uzbek city of Shakhrisabz the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) in 2024. Taking into account the rich history and cultural heritage of this ancient city, which is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, this decision was taken at the 4th ECO Ministerial Meeting on Tourism, which was held online in December 2022.

Under the Evening Sky of the Capital

The annual creative festival “Talyp joshguny–2024”, held among students of the higher educational institutions, ended with a big festive concert in Ashgabat. The best creative groups from 26 higher educational establishments of our country, noted by the jury, received the right to perform in the finals of the festival in one of the prestigious venues of the country, namely, under the open evening sky of the capital at the Aşgabat Song and Music Centre. The event was organised by the Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Education of our country. Students demonstrated their multifaceted creative potential by performing vocal music, original choreographic compositions and theatrical performances. According to the terms of the competition programme of the festival, at its different stages, students were required to complete the tasks prepared based on the content of the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and the President Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Talented youth had the opportunity to fully demonstrate their creative and intellectual capabilities.

The prestigious state competition, organised by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organisation, is traditionally held on the eve of Science Day celebrated in our country on June 12.

Leaving school is an exciting moment for schoolchildren, accompanied by joyful emotions, and, at the same time, is a breath-taking anticipation of the long-awaited entry into an adult and independent life, full of hopes and new amazing discoveries. They received diverse knowledge during their school years, which laid a reliable foundation for self-improvement in all areas.

Honourable Awards to Best Students and Schoolchildren

Another academic year that has brought regular scientific and intellectual competitions, aimed at revealing the experts in various disciplines among schoolchildren and students, into the multifaceted life of the educational institutions in our country has come to an end. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an impressive series of such competitions in the current academic year, involving not only representatives of higher educational institutions, but also graduating seniors from secondary and specialised schools. Moreover, several competitions have traditionally been held at the international level. At the higher school of diplomacy, the solemn honouring and closing ceremonies of the youth intellectual movement that completed its another season of intellectual competitions took place.

Best Teachers of Turkmenistan Announced

The solemn ceremony of summing up the results and awarding the winners of the annual contests “Teacher of the Year” and “Educator of the Year”, which are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the National Trade Union Centre of Turkmenistan, took place in Ashgabat. The best teachers and educators from different regions of our country, who had passed all the final tests for two days, competed in the final round of the contests for the coveted professional titles of the 2024 Teacher of the Year and the 2024 Educator of the Year in the capital city.

Prize-Winners of the Student Olympiad

The results of the III Open International Internet Olympiad among university students in the discipline “Strength of Materials” were summed up at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In total, about 500 students took part in this intellectual championship, representing 37 higher schools of Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Tajikistan, Belarus, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the USA, Germany, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Italy, Romania, Austria and Ukraine. The Olympiad was aimed at stimulating the in-depth study of natural and exact sciences and the use of acquired theoretical knowledge in the practice of vocational training. In addition, the Olympiad was intended to intensify interaction of the Higher School of Architecture of Turkmenistan and other higher educational institutions of our country with leading scientific and educational centres of foreign countries through information and communication educational technologies.

Multiple Victories of Turkmen Connoisseurs

In the capital of Malaysia, the city of Kuala Lumpur, which is considered one of the largest centres of the country and the most rapidly developing megacities of Southeast Asia, the International English Language Competition for schoolchildren entitled “TeenEagle” has completed its work. Over a thousand schoolchildren from more than fifty countries of the world took part in this linguistic competition. Our country was represented at the Competition by a team of fifteen students of seventh to eleventh grade from Ashgabat specialised secondary schools 49, 83, 86, 87, 97 and 135. In total, Turkmen schoolchildren participated in various nominations of the Olympiad in three age groups and won 32 prestigious awards. Among them are ten honorary Grand Prix, six gold, five silver and eleven bronze medals. Thus, some children became winners of several awards at the same time.
