Arkadag City – an Embodiment of Cities of the Future
President Serdar BERDIMUHAMEDOV: The inauguration of smart Arkadag City, built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, with a modern integrated infrastructure is an important step to further improve the standard and quality of life of the people. A year ago, on June 29, the international presentation of the new city of Arkadag took place in a solemn and festive atmosphere. The participation of esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, government members, heads of government agencies, representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations, accredited to Turkmenistan, and numerous foreign guests invited to the celebration emphasised the special significance of this event. Arkadag City received the status of a special purpose city and became a kind of visiting card of Turkmenistan and a symbol of large-scale endeavours of the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State.
