The Leader of the Nation Participates in the Laying of the Foundation and the Commissioning of New Facilities in the Balkan Velayat President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Balkan velayat, where he took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation for a new international airport in the Jebel settlement and in the celebrations on the occasion of the opening of a building “Türkmeniň ak öýi” in the velayat centre, the town of Balkanabat, on July 14.

State Security Council session of Turkmenistan

On June 2nd, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, chaired the regular session of the State Security Council, during which the results of activities of law enforcement agencies for five months of this year were considered, the priority vectors of their activities for the near future were identified. The agenda also included issues on ensuring security and peace in the independent state, strengthening the material and technical base of military and law enforcement agencies, further improvement of their work, control of the rational use of state property, including financial resources, introduction of a digital system, and etc.

The head of the state has a session with members of the People’s Council of National Assembly

The President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a session with members of the People’s Council chamber in the office of the People’s Council. At the session, the head of the state has familiarized himself with work as well as specified the utmost objectives related to organization of activity of this structure. Coming over to review of the subjects of the agenda, the head of the state gave floor to Chairman of the Committee for protection of human rights and freedoms M. Taganov who reported on the measures undertaken for successful solution of objectives for bringing national legislation to compliance with recognized standards of international law.

Priorities of social and economic development of the country reviews at the working session

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held video conference working session with participation of some Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers heads of Ashgabat and regions. Issues related to fulfilment of objectives specified by the Program of social and economic development of the regions, seasonal agricultural works and preparation to coming holidays have been reviewed. Peace and trust: goals of the globe

On April 15, 2021, there were two opening ceremonies of magnificent buildings — a new building of Congress Centre of Turkmenistan and Reception Centre in the southern part of our capital with the participation of our esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Moreover, international conference session, so called «International Co-operation of Independent and Permanent Neutral Turkmenistan in Honour of Peace and Trust» was held in the splendid Congress Centre on that day. After the opening ceremony, the President of Turkmenistan opened the session and noted that this splendid facility designed to become a welcoming and comfortable place for meetings of multi-format discussions of topical issues of international life. During the session, it was highly evaluated that Turkmenistan participates actively in building priorities of trust and mutual understanding, following positive neutrality and maintaining international peace within the framework of the UN. As we know, on the initiative of our esteemed President this year has been called «International Year of Peace and Trust» by the UN and this initiative reflected as our motto of 2021 as «Turkmenistan — the Home of Peace and Trust.
