The World Cities Day is annually celebrated on October 31. On the same day this year, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization announced welcoming news that Ashgabat joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN). This good news made the Turkmen people happy and proud.

Turkmenistan develops active cooperation with foreign countries and international organizations. The country's cooperation with the United Nations, which is considered one of the most prestigious organizations in the world, as well as its specialized agencies and committees, has a wide scope. The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) Programme was founded in 2004. It should be noted that our beautiful capital Ashgabat is the first city in Central Asia to join the Network. That is why our compatriots express their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
