OPPORTUNITIES OF DIGITAL EDUCATION

Our independent neutral Motherland that has the status of permanent neutrality pays great attention to promoting digital education. Our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov takes tremendous efforts to promote digital education in our country. Digital education appeared at higher educational institutions of our country in the past few years, though it existed earlier in various ways. Digital education, referred to as e-learning, is the creative use of digital resources and innovations while teaching and learning, as well as the teaching and learning process that entails the use of digital technologies, including in online or offline environments, and distance, hybrid or in-person modalities.

Results of Biology Olympiad Announced

The III International Internet Biology Olympiad was held at Myrat Garriyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan, which brought together over 730 students from 109 universities. 198 participants received prizes. All of them received diplomas corresponding to the places they took. The Olympiad that has become a tradition was organised in line with the Conception of Digital Education Development in Turkmenistan and the Conception of the Improvement of the Teaching of Natural and Exact Sciences in Turkmenistan. It brought together participants from the universities in Russia, Italy, the USA, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Latvia, Türkiye, China, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Iran, Belarus, Armenia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in its competitive circles. Myrat Garriyev State Medical University of Turkmenistan has established partnerships with some of them under agreements or memoranda. For example, with the Astrakhan State Medical University (Russia). By the way, this university took the first place in the intellectual team competition, and the hosts – Myrat Garriyev University took the second place. The participants from Bukhara State University (Uzbekistan) ranked third. In total, 34 students took first places, 64 students – second places and 100 students – third places.

Higher language school in Turkmenistan receives books in Chinese language

«7/24.tm»: №48 (235) 25.11.2024 The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Turkmenistan donated the books to Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. The heads, lecturers and students of the Institute, as well as Advisor to the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Zhong Hua, First Secretary Qian Wei and Attaché Chang Min and Li Jiangyin attended the event. The representatives of the Chinese diplomatic mission handed over textbooks, teaching aids, dictionaries and collections of works and poems by the outstanding Chinese poets to the lecturers of the Department of Oriental Languages and the students who study the Chinese language and literature during the ceremony, which took place at the Institute.

Results of Olympiad Summed up

The Turkmen State Institute of Finance became the venue for the International Open Internet Olympiad on the International Financial Reporting Standards in the Turkmen, Russian and English languages. In this intellectual contest, participants from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Belarus were worthy rivals of students from our country. Each participating university was represented by a team of four members. In total, two hours were given for completing the tasks of the Olympiad, at which students demonstrated good knowledge of the major discipline and innovative ways of solving experimental problems in financial literacy.

Festive Events Marking the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth

Sphere of Education: Achievements and New Prospects of Development

August is on the calendar. And at this time of the year, traditionally in our country, the admission campaign to secondary and higher professional educational institutions is entering its active phase. At the extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, which was devoted to the results of the multifaceted activities of our country, in particular, the work of sectors of the domestic economy in the first six months of 2024, special attention is known to have been paid to the development of the national education sector, and in particular, issues related to the admission campaign to secondary and higher vocational educational institutions were considered. The Success of Turkmen Musicians in Vienna

From July 25 to 28 in Vienna, the capital of the Republic of Austria, the X One Future World Orchestra Festival was held with the participation of representatives from dozens of countries. Founded in Vienna in 2013 , The World Orchestras Festival is held every year, bringing together musicians from around the world. At the invitation of the relevant organising committee, Turkmen musicians for the first time took part in the X World Orchestra Festival. Friendship Has no Boundaries

The Turkmen State Institute of Culture actively promotes international cooperation in various areas. For example, the creative teams and lecturers from the Institute have taken part recently in the Days of Culture of Turkmenistan and other events marking the anniversary of the great philosopher and poet Magtymguly Pyragy in Japan, France, the People’s Republic of China, Türkiye, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The events, aimed at promoting tourism, is no less significant. Under the Evening Sky of the Capital

The annual creative festival “Talyp joshguny–2024”, held among students of the higher educational institutions, ended with a big festive concert in Ashgabat. The best creative groups from 26 higher educational establishments of our country, noted by the jury, received the right to perform in the finals of the festival in one of the prestigious venues of the country, namely, under the open evening sky of the capital at the Aşgabat Song and Music Centre. The event was organised by the Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Education of our country. Students demonstrated their multifaceted creative potential by performing vocal music, original choreographic compositions and theatrical performances. According to the terms of the competition programme of the festival, at its different stages, students were required to complete the tasks prepared based on the content of the books of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and the President Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Talented youth had the opportunity to fully demonstrate their creative and intellectual capabilities.

Honourable Awards to Best Students and Schoolchildren

Another academic year that has brought regular scientific and intellectual competitions, aimed at revealing the experts in various disciplines among schoolchildren and students, into the multifaceted life of the educational institutions in our country has come to an end. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an impressive series of such competitions in the current academic year, involving not only representatives of higher educational institutions, but also graduating seniors from secondary and specialised schools. The solemn ceremony of summing up the results and awarding the winners of the annual contests “Teacher of the Year” and “Educator of the Year”, which are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the National Trade Union Centre of Turkmenistan, took place in Ashgabat. The best teachers and educators from different regions of our country, who had passed all the final tests for two days, competed in the final round of the contests for the coveted professional titles of the 2024 Teacher of the Year and the 2024 Educator of the Year in the capital city.

Prize-Winners of the Student Olympiad

The results of the III Open International Internet Olympiad among university students in the discipline “Strength of Materials” were summed up at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering. In total, about 500 students took part in this intellectual championship, representing 37 higher schools of Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, China, Tajikistan, Belarus, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the USA, Germany, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Italy, Romania, Austria and Ukraine. The Olympiad was aimed at stimulating the in-depth study of natural and exact sciences and the use of acquired theoretical knowledge in the practice of vocational training. In addition, the Olympiad was intended to intensify interaction of the Higher School of Architecture of Turkmenistan and other higher educational institutions of our country with leading scientific and educational centres of foreign countries through information and communication educational technologies.
