The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who had arrived in Samarkand to participate as a guest of honour in the Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Expressing gratitude to his Uzbek counterpart for the invitation, the President thanked him for the hospitality and warm welcome and conveyed warm greetings of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
