Modern geopolitics attaches great importance to logistics. Turkmenistan is located at the crossroads of the main North–South and East–West trade routes and is a strategic intersection between Asia and Europe. Our country has a well-developed and attractive multi-vector transport network in Central Asia and is ready to connect its transit routes with the transport network of other countries to facilitate the integration of the East–West trade.

The 21st century is that of logistics. This is its enduring importance in the economy. Our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov identified the development of the logistics sector as one of the crucial aspects of the economic strategy in the present era. In accordance with the National Socioeconomic Development Programme for 2022–2052, Turkmenistan works towards fulfilling the tasks of the fullest use of the geo-economic potential of our Motherland through creating logistics corridors, enhancing its role and integrating into the regional and international system of multimodal communications. The President emphasises that our country aims its efforts at expanding international cooperation and increasing external trade with other countries. The realisation of our logistics potential also meets the economic interests of neighbouring countries and contributes to establishing strong trade contacts on the continent and in general to trusting partnerships, stability and sustainable development.
