The International Student Olympiad on Sustainable Development Goals, which was held online, ended with a two-time victory for the Turkmen participants. It is an annual initiative of the German-Kazakh University (die Deutsch-Kasachische Universität (DKU)), implemented in partnership with a number of other organisations. The working languages of the Olympiad are Russian and English.

This intellectual competition included three sections: integrated water resources and landscape management; climate change and clean energy; industrialisation, innovation, infrastructure and the sustainability of cities and settlements.
