The tree-planting traditions are considered a sacred duty in Turkmenistan. Those traditions are cherished in the revival of the new epoch of the powerful state. The spring tree-planting campaign in the country is a worthy continuation of the ecological attitude that has become a noble tradition.
At the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on March 10, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on holding a nationwide tree-planting campaign in Turkmenistan. According to the document, to turn the country into a blossoming garden, to enhance the beauty of its nature and to implement the National Forestry Programme of Turkmenistan for 2021–2025, it is planned to plant 3 million seedlings of various trees and vines throughout the country this year. Of these, 1.5 million were planted during the spring planting campaign.
