Sub­ject and mul­ti­la­te­ral dia­lo­gue: for peace and sta­bi­li­ty

Occupying a favou­rab­le geog­rap­hical po­si­tion at the in­ter­secti­on of in­ter­na­tio­nal trans­port net­works along the North–South and East–West rou­tes using various mo­des of trans­port, Turk­me­nis­tan has a so­lid trans­port and tran­sit po­ten­tial and is pur­suing a con­sis­tent cour­se to­wards its develop­ment and ef­ficient use. Ta­king in­to account the prio­ri­ties of the trans­port po­licy, im­por­tant decisions in this stra­te­gic sphe­re we­re con­si­de­red and adop­ted at the sit­ting of the Cabi­net of Mi­nis­ters on Ja­nua­ry 14.

The Prog­ram­me of Trans­port Dip­lo­macy Develop­ment of the Pre­si­dent of Turk­me­nis­tan for 2022–2025, app­roved by the Re­so­lu­tion of the he­ad of sta­te, is ai­med at the furt­her ef­fective use of the po­ten­tial of the trans­port sector and the develop­ment of in­ter­na­tio­nal coo­pe­ra­tion. In or­der to strengt­hen the na­tio­nal ma­ri­ti­me fleet, Turk­me­nis­tan is buil­ding two Ro-Ro ves­sels for the trans­por­ta­tion of over­si­zed car­go over long dis­tances and one car­go ship. For the develop­ment of the in­dust­ry, the Pre­si­dent of Turk­me­nis­tan al­so app­roved pro­po­sals re­la­ted to the acces­sion of our count­ry to the ag­ree­ments on the In­ter­na­tio­nal Tran­sit Ta­riff and the Uni­form Tran­sit Ta­riff of the Or­ga­ni­sa­tion for Coo­pe­ra­tion bet­ween Rail­ways.
