On April 18, a commemorative event “Könül ruhy siňen peder taglymy” devoted to the exemplary life path of Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov – an honorary veteran of the internal affairs of Turkmenistan, grandfather of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and father of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was held at Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov 1001st military unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan.

In memory of the faithful and valiant son of the Motherland, bending their knee, its participants laid bouquets of flowers at the monument to Lieutenant Colonel of Internal Affairs Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov, erected on the territory of the 1001st military unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan. The naming of military unit No. 1001 afterMyalikguly Berdimuhamedov serves as a sign of great respect for the outstanding man who devoted his life to serving the people and his Motherland and evokes a feeling of special pride in the hearts of internal affairs officers and young cadets.
