Last week, the first meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation was held with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The meeting was held in a wide format at the Centre for Public Organisations of Turkmenistan. Among the participants were deputies of the sixth and seventh convocations, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of political parties, public organisations, the media, the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda in Turkmenistan and others.

Of fundamental importance for the audience was the speech of the head of state, in which the President outlined the most significant tasks on improving the national legislative framework for the further development of the country. A round table was devoted to the discussion of the key theses of the speech of the head of state and was held with the participation of deputies of the Mejlis of the seventh convocation Serdar Durdiyev, Bayramgozel Myradova and Chemen Rejebova elected from the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The event was organised jointly by the Ashgabat City Committee of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the editorial office of the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
