On May 18, independent and neutral Turkmenistan widely and solemnly celebrated the national holiday – the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of the country. The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the celebrations held in the capital near the Constitution Monument and in the square near the Main Flag on the occasion of the significant date.

Being the main state symbols of the country, the Basic Law and the green Banner embody the inviolability of the foundations of the independence and sovereignty of the Motherland, the indestructible unity of the Turkmen people and their unwavering commitment to the high ideals of peace, humanism, kindness and creation. All this is the basis of the progressive domestic and foreign policy of Turkmenistan, consistently pursued by the Head of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and winning the universal support and recognition of the international community.
