On April 20, a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty was held under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. It is noteworthy that the meeting was held with the participation of the deputies of the Mejlis, newly elected following the results of the elections of March 26, 2023 that are members of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, chairmen of the velayat, etrap and city halk maslahaty, archins of towns and settlements, which are the administrative centres of etraps, deputy chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the security, defence and law-enforcement agencies, hyakims of velayats, Ashgabat, etraps and cities and heads of political parties and public associations. The main message that the Hero-Arkadag addressed to the audience was to direct all their strength and energy to serve their compatriots. “By joint efforts, united and selfless work, we will be able to ensure the prosperity of our beloved Motherland and to implement plans that will be inscribed in golden letters in the annals of our glorious history and will become an example to follow for future generations!” the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasised.

At the request of the editorial staff of the NT newspaper, the deputies of the Mejlis, nominated by the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, commented on the historical significance of the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty and the first meeting of the deputies of the Mejlis of the seventh convocation with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan. The round table was held via videoconferencing with the support of the Political Council of the Democratic Party.
