The solemn ceremonies which took place on the Turkmen-Afghan border on September 11, 2024 became the landmark events for the future of Afghanistan and the region. The ground-breaking and opening ceremonies of seven energy, transport, communication and logistics infrastructure facilities mark new strategic opportunities for strengthening regional security and sustainable development in Central and South Asia and in neighbouring countries. Berdimuhamedov emphasised, “We have embarked on a great path – we are at the beginning of a new historical period. In the future, we will have to implement many more new projects that show much promise for the two brotherly countries and peoples and for other states.”
