A historic event in the history of Turkmen sports took place at the 47th World Sambo Championships in Bishkek. After 27 years, a representative of Turkmenistan won the world champion title among men in this sport. This remarkable achievement was gained in the under 64 kg category by a serviceman from Malikguly Berdimuhamedov military unit 1001 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Master of Sports from Ashgabat Muhammet Kossekov.
