President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Governor of the Astrakhan Region of the Russian Federation Igor Babushkin. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the time allotted for the meeting, the guest conveyed warm greetings to the national leader from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who had addressed wishes of wellbeing to the entire Turkmen people. As Igor Babushkin noted, Russia highly valued traditionally friendly relations with Turkmenistan demonstrating high rates of economic growth and attaching great importance to the further strengthening of the long-term strategic cooperation.
Taking this opportunity, the governor of the Astrakhan region congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and all Turkmen citizens on significant dates – the 30th anniversary of independence and the forthcoming 26th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s acquisition of the legal status of neutrality, wishing every success along the path of progress and prosperity. As it was emphasised, that status, twice recognised by special resolutions of the United Nations Organisation, was a reflection of the active and positive role of our country in the development of good-neighbourly and friendly relations with all interested states.
