Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain the leading cause of death in most economically developed countries. Arterial hypertension (AH) being one of the main factors that has a great influence on the development and progression of CVD, remains a very important medical and social problem. Sanatorium-resort treatment plays an important role in the prevention of CVD and rehabilitation of patients with these diseases. Considering the wide opportunities created in the sanatorium and resort system of the country, in the national strategies for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, special attention is paid to sanatorium and resort treatment [1].
