Recently, a complex of mudslide facilities near Ashgabat, designed to stop strong mudslides caused by prolonged heavy rains and to effectively use the accumulated water, was put into operation.

The facility was built in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan under the contract between the Ashgabat Hyakimlik and Vozrozhdenie Production Association JSC (Russia) concluded in March 2020. The Turkmen-Russian team of engineers and hydraulic scientists from the Türkmensuwylymtaslama Institute of the State Committee for Water Economy and the Sevkavgiprovodkhoz Institute worked on the project.
