On March 26, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the elections of deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, members of halk maslahaty and Gengeshes.

From early morning, the polling stations, where Turkmen citizens came to exercise their constitutional right to vote for the worthiest candidate for deputies of the national parliament and local people’s authorities, were crowded. The active participation of the electorate in the electoral process became a visible evidence of the triumph of the principles of genuine democracy in the Turkmen land.
