The opening of the UNESCO Chair ‘Cultural Heritage: from the past to the future’, established thanks to the cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, was a historic event. As is known, the creation of UNESCO Chairs in the institutions of higher education of the country will give the opportunity to promote the achievements of the Turkmen science and the national education system to the world.

Similar chairs function in the world's most famous universities. It is gratifying that the institutions of higher education of Turkmenistan join this noble work, which was launched on the initiative of our Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and successfully implemented by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The establishment of the Chair was conducted by the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
