Bright lights lit up on the New Year Tree of the country, heralding the imminent arrival of the beloved and long-awaited, cheerful and good holiday – New Year’s Day.

Following the tradition, the celebrations centred in the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Centre, located in one of the picturesque districts of the capital at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, where the tallest New Year’s Tree was installed. It is surrounded with a festively decorated fairy-tale town.
