At its 216th session, the UNESCO Executive Board approved the proposals from Member States for the celebration of anniversaries in 2024-2025 with which UNESCO could be associated. Following the discussion, the Executive Board considered and recommended to the General Conference that UNESCO be associated with the celebration of 46 anniversaries. These include the proposal on the 300th birth anniversary of the poet Magtymguly Fraghi submitted by Turkmenistan with the support of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Ukraine
