Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), occurring in approximately 27-33% of cases [1-3]. Although many studies have shown that the SYNTAX score can be used as a predicative indicator for a number of complications after CABG, such as myocardial infarction and stent thrombosis, few researches have been conducted on the use of this score as a new predictor of AF after CABG.
