Moving Forward in Unity, Peace and Concord

The country is preparing for an extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan. Great preparatory work has been launched everywhere at all levels of state power to hold the meeting at a high organisational level. The socio-political organisations are conducting activities to elucidate the role and historical significance of the extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh. This event is of exceptional significance since the main issue on the agenda is the discussion and adoption of the programme document “The Revival of the New Era of the Sovereign State: The National Socioeconomic Development Programme of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052”. The President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Chairwoman of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh G. Mammedova and the Deputy Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh K. Babayev to coordinate the preparatory work for the extraordinary meeting of the Halk Maslahaty.

High dynamics of construction

The large-scale investment policy implemented in Turkmenistan has contributed to the rapid development of all sectors of the national economy, which is visibly manifested in large-scale construction, achievements in industry and agroindustrial complex and the implementation of the social policy. A large number of new schools and kindergartens, medical and cultural institutions are being built around the country, and cities and villages are being developed. Time has shown that the construction industry, as a reflection of investment activity, has a significant growth in Turkmenistan. This industry is one of those that makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the urban development programme through the introduction of advanced innovative technologies, due to which new enterprises are being built and operating ones are being reconstructed.

Turkmenistan – transport and logistics centre of regional and continental significance

On January 14 this year, the esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which priority issues of the state life and the developed drafts of a number of documents were considered. In the context of the priority tasks of the further comprehensive socioeconomic development of the country, issues related to the use of the transport potential of Turkmenistan to expand trade and economic relations and to increase the transit of cargo transportation were also put on the agenda. Strategically important measures, aimed at the comprehensive modernisation of the material and technical base of all modes of transport in our country, the formation of a modern specialised infrastructure and the further strengthening of the position of Turkmenistan as a regional centre of international transport and transit corridors, are included in the Presidential Programme of Transport Diplomacy Development for 2022–2025. This document was considered and approved at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers. The topic of developing the transport and transit potential of Turkmenistan is topical from various points of view. Cultural properties of world significance – wealth of the ancient Turkmen land

In the Turkmen capital, on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the International Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Turkmen Land – the Centre of Cultural Values of World Popularity” was held. As is known, in order to increase the world fame of the Turkmen alabay and to develop and improve the national dog breeding, on December 27, 2021, the President of Turkmenistan issued a Decree, in accordance with which the Day of Turkmen Alabay was established. According to the document, it is to be celebrated annually on the last Sunday of October.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the Ahal velayat and acquainted himself with the large-scale work being carried out on the construction of a new modern administrative centre in this region. Oil and gas industry strategy

The Balkan velayat has become the destination of a recent working trip of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Turkmen leader visited Uzynada field, where he held the meeting on the further development of the oil and gas industry and on the development and realisation of the tremendous resource potential of the country. The Turkmen leader focuses on ensuring the effective functioning of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry along with the efficient use of natural riches. In accordance with the State Programme of oil and gas industry development for the period until 2030, great importance is attached to increasing production resources and export capacity of this sector of the national economy.

The wide-scale great works and creating conditions for working and living in prosperous life of our people realized by our Esteemed President, standing at the sources of our successes and a happy life have a great significance in protection of the beautiful nature of our country, in enriching more its flora and fauna and widely studying them from scientific point of view. In Bright Lights and Magic

Not only people, but also cities are preparing to meet the kindest and long-awaited holiday – New Year’s Day. Ashgabat is decorated with bright, sparkling, truly magical lights, especially at night. The public gardens and parks are decorated with multi-coloured luminous compositions, light projections and garlands, and at the crossroads of streets, monitors display congratulations on the coming New Year’s Day and broadcast colourful video films. Endlessly sparkling corridors and tunnels appear throughout the city owing to the New Year's illuminations with decorated trees and street light poles, creating a sense of never-ending celebration. The city became the cradle of thousands of lights on these days of the New Year’s Eve.

The Main New Year Tree of Turkmenistan Sparkles with Festive Lights

In the Turkmen capital city, a ceremony of switching on the lights on the country’s Main New Year’s Tree took place, traditionally preceding the events in honour of the arrival of the New Year’s Day. The green beauty, crowned with an eight-pointed star and the number 2022, is installed in the centre of a fairy-tale spot, arranged in the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Centre, where New Year’s celebrations are held annually.

The glorious epoch of great progress

Every day of 2021 — the «International Year of Peace and Trust» and the year of widely celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Independence of our Motherland is full of glorious events. On the 23rd of August during his visit to the Mary Province the Head of our state gave impetus to construction of new wells in the «Galkynysh» Gas Field and took part in the ceremony of foundation of the construction for holding mass events near the «Turkmening ak oyi» building located in the centre of the region. In his speech during the ceremony our National Leader underlined that great capital investments are made into fuel-energy complex and these means are directed at further developing this profitable branch, at providing the oil and gas enterprises with modern technical equipment and technology, at carrying out geological exploratory drilling and industrial exploitation of the new oil and gas fields. Giving for industrial exploitation of the «Galkynysh», one of the largest gas fields in the world, was a very important step on the way of realizing energy strategy of the country, in strengthening the reserve of raw materials for exporting of gas. Each of the 45 gas wells located in the four thousand square metre exploitation area of the «Galkynysh» Gas Field gives on the average two million cubic metres of natural gas in twenty four hours.

Turkmen melon —the symbol of an unexcelled sweetness

Our Esteemed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wisely notes: «Turkmen melon is a pure spring of our national abundance, and it is unexcelled in sweetness». The Turkmen melon is a symbol of the fertility of the Turkmen land and evidence of the diligence of Turkmen farmers and a high level of national agriculture. August is associated with the generous gifts of the fields. As well as nowadays, in ancient calendars this month was the period of the ripening and harvesting of fruits. Scattering on vast fields like rough golden balls, the main delicacy of the Turkmen summer — melon also ripens in this month.
