The Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of the UNESCO inscribed Turkmen national dutar making craftsmanship and traditional music performing art combined with singing into the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
