In May of the current year, for the first time in Ashgabat, the regular 10th Meeting of the National Commissions for UNESCO of the member countries of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) was held. The decisions made are reflected in the Final Document, which emphasises the need to strengthen and enhance the role of the National Commissions in the protection of the cultural property of the TURKSOY member countries.
The meeting was held on May 16 with the participation of heads and representatives of the National Commissions for UNESCO of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Hungary and Mongolia and the heads of international organisations uniting Turkic countries and regions such as TURKSOY, the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, the International Turkic Academy and International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
