Kawasaki disease (KD) is a systemic necrotizing vasculitis characterized mainly by lesions of small and medium-sized arteries. In KD, coronary arteries are affected in 20% of cases [1, 2, 4].
In 80% of cases, children under 8 years of age, mostly boys, get sick. KD is rare in adults. Recently, KD-like systemic manifestations associated with coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in adults. Genetic factors influence the growth of coronary artery aneurysms [8, 9, 15].
