Taking an active position in discussing the primary issues of the regional and global agenda and developing their balanced solutions, Turkmenistan attaches priority importance to strengthening the strategic partnership with the United Nations, where special attention is paid to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Cooperation in this important area is one of the key vectors of the foreign-policy course of the neutral Motherland, initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and now being consistently implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having officially adopted all 17 SDGs and adapted them to its national plans and socioeconomic strategies, Turkmenistan strives to fully promote the expansion of constructive international cooperation that meets the interests of universal wellbeing and progress. This is confirmed in the Priority Positions of our country at the forthcoming 79th session of the UN General Assembly, which will begin its work at the United Nations headquarters in New York in September this year.
