In the Turkmen capital city, a ceremony of switching on the lights on the country’s Main New Year’s Tree took place, traditionally preceding the events in honour of the arrival of the New Year’s Day.

The green beauty, crowned with an eight-pointed star and the number 2022, is installed in the centre of a fairy-tale spot, arranged in the square in front of the Älem Cultural and Entertainment Centre, where New Year’s celebrations are held annually.
