On August 23 of the current year, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov launched the construction of new wells at the world’s largest gas field, Galkynyş. This underground field contains the largest gas deposits, and it is from there that the Turkmenistan–China gas pipeline begins its journey.

Our country possesses rich energy resources, the export of which, together with its favourable geographical position, makes Turkmenistan an outpost of international cooperation. And such an example is the Turkmenistan–China transnational gas pipeline, which has become an indisputable fact of international energy partnership and the wise foreign economic policy of the national leader.
