— Magtymguly Pyragy, the great Turkmen poet and philosopher who illuminated the hearts of the people with the rays of kindness is one of the highly adorable personalities for the Turkmen people.

Magtymguly, the classic Turkmen poet of the 18th century, according to existing scientific information was born in 1724 in the village of Hajygovshan located near the Gurghen River. Magtymguly was from the Gerkez group of the Gokleng tribe of Turkmens. In his poem «Marked in the World» («Äleme belgilidir») he writes:
