August 17, 2023 marks exactly 30 years since Turkmenistan has become a full member of UNESCO by ratifying the relevant document in London.

The entry of the young Turkmen state, which had just declared its independence, into this authoritative international Organisation once again confirmed the recognition of the contribution of our country to the development of world civilisation. By becoming a full member of this international Organisation, our country has received the opportunity to fully integrate into the world community as a reliable and predictable partner in interstate and international cooperation.

Chynar RUSTEMOVA,
the Executive Secretary at the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the UNESCO.
