The Turkmen people have always cherished their soil, nature, flora, fauna, and water. They took effective steps to preserve nature. First, it was forbidden to pollute and damage the soil, it was considered a sin to cut blooming trees, burn them, and pollute water. Our ancestors cleaned environment from weeds and dirt. They burned weeds and removed wastes.

The excavations revealed special areas for garbage along with dwellings, storehouses, fortified towers, and kitchens in the ancient fortresses. These facts demonstrated that our ancestors had paid special attention to cleanliness. Archaeologists have proven that these areas were in small fortified towers and fortifications.
