Every year, Lomonosov Moscow State University holds the Universiade in Linguistics and Regional and Cultural Studies, in which Turkmen students traditionally take part.

The current Universiade under the symbolic name “Lomonosov” was held in two rounds. Following the results of the first round, which took place at the beginning of the year in the format of writing an essay on given topics, the participants of the second, spring, round were determined.
