The teams of Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan competed not only for prizes, but also for qualification for the final stage of the Asian Championships at the U12 Central Asian Tennis tournament, which was held at the Tennis Complex of the Olympic Village in Ashgabat on June 5–9. The results and winners of the tournament were announced on the final day of the competition. The women’s national tennis team of Turkmenistan won the bronze medals at the tournament. The men’s national tennis team of Turkmenistan earned the silver medals and qualified for the final stage of the Asian Championships.

As is known, the Turkmen wrestlers successfully compete in the international events. Thus, our athletes won medals at the regional and world championships held in the Turkmen national wrestling, alysh wrestling, kurash wrestling, sambo wrestling and other modes of sports.
